CJ Scarlet is Chief Innovator and CEO of 10 for Humanity, LLC, which is developing 10 innovative technologies to reduce crime and violence. The former U.S. Marine photojournalist is an award-winning writer, motivational speaker and entrepreneur, as well as an expert in marketing and branding.
CJ holds a B.A. in Political Science, an M.A. in Humanities with an emphasis on Human Violence and a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies. She also serves on the state Board of Directors for the Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter, and is a volunteer caregiver and vigil volunteer for Hospice of Wake County.
Dr. William R. (Bob) Norris is an innovator with over 18 years of senior executive experience in high tech businesses as both an intrapreneur and a serial entrepreneur. As an intrapreneur, his focus was on the introduction of robotics products in a Fortune 500 OEM. As a Chief Executive Officer, Bob has successfully started three businesses based on technologies he developed in robotics, mechatronics, machine learning and green technologies. He holds nine US patents.
Bob has Bachelors of Science, Master's of Science and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds a Master's in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in Durham, NC. He served with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division managing a paratrooper unit, and is a veteran of the Desert Shield and Desert Storm campaigns.
As founder and chief innovator of Tactical Survival Training™, Stewart is a personal protection specialist, certified firearms instructor and tactical defense consultant with over 12 active years of martial arts and private security experience.
Utilizing his diverse background as a U.S. Air Force sergeant, veteran martial artist and seasoned corporate trainer, Stewart now applies the principles of service, integrity and leadership to enriching mankind via live instructional trainings, empowerment workshops and captivating lectures.
Highly regarded for his dynamic and engaging teaching style, literally thousands of individuals, from senior executives and doctors to bankers and truck drivers, have benefited from Stewart’s altruistic work and are now well-versed in the art of staying safe, managing unprovoked violence and protecting their families from harm.
Annette Hibbert Stevenson, C.P.M.
Annette Hibbert Stevenson, a veteran Army officer, has more over 30 years’ experience in the personnel/administrative management and procurement profession.
Annette currently serves as the Supplier Diversity Manager at SAS Institute. Under her leadership, the program has grown significantly and has earned several accolades. In addition to serving on the N.C. VetBiz Board of Directors, Annette serves on the boards of the N.C. M/WBE Coordinator’s Network, the Triangle Chapter, Institute of Supply Management-Carolinas Virginia Region, and as the Piedmont Region Chair of the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council. Additionally, she serves on the State of N.C. Diversity Advocacy Partnership Council.
A graduate of Methodist College, Annette holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Military Science. As a rising college senior, Annette received an early reserve officer commission as a Quartermaster Officer. Upon graduation from Methodist, she received a Regular Army commission in the Adjutant General Corps and served ten years on active duty in various leadership positions. Annette later earned the designation of Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) from the Institute of Supply Management.
Mark M. Haupt, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Veterans Business Association and the Tammy Lynn Foundation in Raleigh, NC. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Research Triangle Park Federal Credit Union.
Mark founded Converged Services, LLC and Energy Efficient Integration, LLC in 2008. A seasoned executive leader of global business development, customer service and operations organizations, Mark has more than 30 years of global and domestic Information Technology and Telecommunications industry experience.
Mark holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Iowa University and an Associate Degree in Electronic Technology from the Community College of the U.S. Air Force.

Lenwood V. Long, Sr. is the President/CEO of The Support Center - a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and statewide nonprofit organization. Lenwood has more than 25 years of experience in community economic development, human resource and business management.
His past positions include Director of a statewide planning agency, Vice President and Senior Associate for a state and national consulting firm, Director of Finance and Administration for the largest rural focused non-profit agency within the state, Director of Community Affairs for a statewide non-profit organization, Government Program Manager for a major state initiative and Minority Affairs Assistant in the Office of former Governor James E. Holshouser. Additionally, he served at the national level of government as Chief of Staff for former Congresswoman Eva M. Clayton.
Lenwood served his country in the North Carolina Army National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant, from 1973 to 1996. He also served in the United States Army (Viet-Nam Combat Infantry Paratrooper) and received an Honorable Discharge as Sergeant (E-5).
Lenwood received his Bachelors of Science in Sociology from St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC in 1972. He earned his Master’s in Urban Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA in 1974.

Nicholas Riggins is an author, Director of the Center for Military Families & Veterans at Central Piedmont Community College and a small business owner. Nicholas served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. Nicholas focuses on thought leadership and key strategies for youth leadership, business strategy, leadership development, nonprofit initiatives, strategic planning, veteran and minority business development initiatives, career development, community outreach, grant management, and military outreach.
Nicholas has a Master's degree in Leadership and Organizational Change and a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
