VA’s Mentor Protégé Program - Open Period extended until September 16, 2011

NEWSFLASH: The Mentor Protégé Open Period has been extended until September 16, 2011. All proposed Mentor-Protégé Agreements must be submitted by close of business (5pm EST) on September 16, 2011.
As you prepare your submission packages for the August 1, 2011 through September 16, 2011 submission period, be sure to follow these submission instructions.
The purpose of VA’s Mentor Protégé Program is provide developmental assistance to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) that will enhance their capabilities to perform as prime contractors and subcontractors on VA procurements.
Under the VA MPP, protégé firms must be Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or Veteran Owned Small Business. Mentors shall confirm eligibility of protégés by documenting the verified status of protégés in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database (www.VetBiz.gov). Protégés must maintain verified status throughout the term of the Mentor-Protégé Agreement. Failure to do so shall result in cancellation of the Agreement.
